Ivan Kuptsov, Architect AIBC, CPHD, M.Arch, Sp.Arch, B.Arch
Ivan brings a unique skillset to his design approach – the ability to create dramatic architectural forms, advanced patterning and rhythm application in composition and material use, paired with attention to detail, colour and light. Ivan’s meticulous approach to architectural drawings helps to capture these qualities in design and the built environment.
Ivan graduated from the Masters of Architecture program at the University of British Columbia (M.Arch), the Specialist of Architecture (Sp.Arch) and the Bachelor of Architecture programs (B.Arch) from the Moscow Institute of Architecture. He is a Registered Architect with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC).
Ivan has received the Structural Steel Education Foundation Scholarship for Excellence in Steel Design 2011; the Diploma of National Russian Competition «School of the 21st Century: Architectural and Design Projects» 2007; the Diploma for Active Participation in the 1st Russian-Swedish Architectural-Engineering Workshop 2008 (Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden); and, the Diploma for Integral Approach in the Preservation of the Monuments of Wooden Architecture of Kazan’ 2008 (Kazan’ State University of Architecture and Engineering, Kazan’, Russia’).
