Doris Fischer
Trained and having built a career as an architectural technologist in Germany over decades, Doris brings 17 years of Canadian architecture experience to the firm. In her early career, she worked as a structural technologist and in interior design, which founded her strong interest in collaboration with all consultants to get the best results for the client.
Throughout her career, Doris worked on a vast variety of projects, e.g. Office, Healthcare, Educational, Retail, Light-Industrial, Residential, Mixed-Use, Supportive Housing, Indigenous Housing and Cultural/Civic buildings.
Her skillset comprises experience in all phases of the project, with thorough detailing being her special focus and joy. Doris enjoys being part of the design process and turning great design into construction documents.
Living in a small community on Haida Gwaii, BC amidst forest, Doris is passionate about the sustainable use of wood and energy, and the idea that all is one as a governing thought that a building should complement the nature around instead of dominating it.
