Glen Pump Station – neighbourliness, robustness and scale

About this project

With it’s prominant site on the eastern edge of China Creek Park in Vancouver, BC, special attention was given to neighbourliness, robustness and scale. In addition to the waste water pump station replacement, located in the same location, two public washrooms were provided and various park improvements were proposed.

Glazed brick provides a clean, durable and robust exterior finish and clerestory glazing provides natural light to the washrooms and pump station. The above-grade structure is cross-laminated timber (CLT) which is light weight and easily achieves the project’s post-disaster performance requirements.

Project features:
Infrastructure
Post-disaster
Park improvements
